Accounting Manager – South Elgin, IL

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Oversee job costing and ensure accuracy in project and product cost tracking
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions
- Lead daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger
- Develop and review financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses
- Support estimating and quoting processes for new business
- Monitor and review overall company financial performance, providing insights to leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and external audits
- Recommend and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Master’s degree or CPA designation preferred
- 3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, with cost accounting at a manufacturing company required
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Hands-on experience with AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; ERP system experience a plus
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
