Position Overview:
The Car Wash General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility’s daily operations. This includes supervising staff, maintaining top-tier customer satisfaction, managing equipment and inventory, driving sales performance, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
- Manage day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain peak performance.
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization across the facility.
Staff Management & Sales Coaching
- Recruit, train, and supervise team members.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage.
- Provide hands-on sales coaching and training to help team members effectively promote services and memberships.
- Motivate and inspire the team to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment with ongoing training and professional growth opportunities.
Customer Service
- Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Continuously improve customer service standards and protocols.
Financial Management
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including sales metrics, expenses, and profitability goals.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
- Identify opportunities to increase customer retention and membership growth.
- Collaborate with marketing to support local promotions and community engagement.
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory of supplies and chemicals, ensuring proper stock levels.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely ordering and replenishment.
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure employee adherence to procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven management experience, ideally in car wash, automotive, or retail environments.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to sell and effectively coach a team on sales techniques and customer engagement.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
- Minimum 2–4 years of management experience.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
