THE ROLE
We are looking for a Capital Development Director to anchor the firm's Texas presence. The focus of this role is cultivating a high-quality network of private investors, family offices, and professional intermediaries who are seeking yield-oriented, collateral-backed alternatives to traditional fixed income.
This is a relationship-first role, not a volume-driven sales position. The ideal candidate operates comfortably across long engagement cycles, builds trust through education and expertise, and earns business through reputation rather than pressure.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Investor Network & Private Capital
- Identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with accredited and high-net-worth investors across the DFW metro
- Lead investment conversations rooted in education around secured credit strategies
- Design and execute a disciplined relationship nurturing process with long-term pipeline visibility
- Build recurring investor engagement through events, outreach, and personalized follow-up
Intermediary & Referral Ecosystem
- Develop a structured network of professional introducers tax advisors, independent wealth managers, and estate planning professionals
- Create co-branded educational programming and engagement touchpoints
- Represent the firm at industry forums, civic organizations, and professional associations
- Build and formalize partnership agreements with referral sources
Regional Strategy & Intelligence
- Serve as the firm's eyes and ears in the Texas market tracking investor sentiment, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
- Recommend high-leverage community and professional engagement strategies
- Inform regional messaging and positioning in collaboration with leadership
Investor Experience & Retention
- Maintain proactive, ongoing communication with the existing investor base
- Oversee a seamless onboarding experience for new capital partners
- Drive re-investment activity and organic referral growth through exceptional client stewardship
YOUR BACKGROUND
Required:
- 5 years5 years of experience in private wealth, alternative investments, or financial services with a meaningful portion spent in the DFW market
- An existing, trusted network within the Texas business and financial community
- Demonstrated success managing complex, relationship-driven capital development cycles
- Comfortable engaging sophisticated investors on illiquid, yield-focused investment products
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent
Preferred:
- Series 65, 66, or 7 license preferred (or willingness to obtain)Background in private credit, real asset lending, or structured finance
- Warm relationships with RIAs, CPAs, multi-family offices, or independent broker-dealers
- Experience navigating Regulation D or private placement environments
- Embedded in local professional networks (YPO, ULI, local chambers, professional associations)
