Director, Private Capital A privately held real estate credit platform with a multi-year track record of consistent investor returns and zero realized losses. The firm originates and manages first-lien residential credit instruments across select U.S. markets, with a growing Texas presence. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build the firm’s DFW investor relations function – with the infrastructure, track record, and leadership support already in place.

WHY THIS ROLE

The firm has built a differentiated credit platform with a verifiable track record. What it has not yet built is a dedicated, relationship-driven capital development presence in Texas. This role exists to change that.

The opportunity is to create something from the ground up with the backing of a platform that works. For the right person, this is the role they’

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Capital Development Director to anchor the firm's Texas presence. The focus of this role is cultivating a high-quality network of private investors, family offices, and professional intermediaries who are seeking yield-oriented, collateral-backed alternatives to traditional fixed income.

This is a relationship-first role, not a volume-driven sales position. The ideal candidate operates comfortably across long engagement cycles, builds trust through education and expertise, and earns business through reputation rather than pressure.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Investor Network & Private Capital

  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate relationships with accredited and high-net-worth investors across the DFW metro
  • Lead investment conversations rooted in education around secured credit strategies
  • Design and execute a disciplined relationship nurturing process with long-term pipeline visibility
  • Build recurring investor engagement through events, outreach, and personalized follow-up

Intermediary & Referral Ecosystem

  • Develop a structured network of professional introducers tax advisors, independent wealth managers, and estate planning professionals
  • Create co-branded educational programming and engagement touchpoints
  • Represent the firm at industry forums, civic organizations, and professional associations
  • Build and formalize partnership agreements with referral sources

Regional Strategy & Intelligence

  • Serve as the firm's eyes and ears in the Texas market tracking investor sentiment, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities
  • Recommend high-leverage community and professional engagement strategies
  • Inform regional messaging and positioning in collaboration with leadership

Investor Experience & Retention

  • Maintain proactive, ongoing communication with the existing investor base
  • Oversee a seamless onboarding experience for new capital partners
  • Drive re-investment activity and organic referral growth through exceptional client stewardship

 YOUR BACKGROUND

Required:

  • 5 years5 years of experience in private wealth, alternative investments, or financial services with a meaningful portion spent in the DFW market
  • An existing, trusted network within the Texas business and financial community
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, relationship-driven capital development cycles
  • Comfortable engaging sophisticated investors on illiquid, yield-focused investment products
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Series 65, 66, or 7 license preferred (or willingness to obtain)Background in private credit, real asset lending, or structured finance
  • Warm relationships with RIAs, CPAs, multi-family offices, or independent broker-dealers
  • Experience navigating Regulation D or private placement environments
  • Embedded in local professional networks (YPO, ULI, local chambers, professional associations)

WHO THRIVES IN THIS ROLE

  • A natural connector who leads with insight, not a pitch deck
  • Someone who plays the long game comfortable with 6–12-month relationship arcs
  • Organized and self-directed, with a systematic approach to pipeline management
  • A professional who has outgrown transactional environments and wants to build something meaningful

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

First 90 Days: A structured pipeline is in place; key intermediary introductions have been made, and early investor conversations are underway.

6 Months: First closes are completed, referral partnerships are generating introductions, and regional visibility is growing.

Year One: A self-sustaining, referral-driven growth engine is operating in DFW, with early groundwork laid for expansion into additional Texas markets. The ultimate measure: a self-sustaining referral-driven growth engine that consistently delivers capital at or below the firm's target cost of acquisition.

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience
  • Variable Compensation: Meaningful performance-based upside tied to capital formation results
  • Total Target: Highly competitive for senior regional contributors in the alternative investment space

Benefits:

  • Medical benefits
  • Employer-supported retirement plan
  • Ongoing professional development support
  • Performance-based profit participation for qualified candidates holding applicable securities licenses

  • This is a confidential search. Firm details will be disclosed to candidates who advance in the process.
