Duties
- Safely operate specialized boat hydraulic transport trailers to move boats and watercraft efficiently.
- Load, secure, and unload boats using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Plan and follow optimized routes to ensure timely deliveries while complying with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns, performing basic maintenance or reporting problems promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, clients, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of delivery logs, inspection reports, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Assist with operations when necessary, including moving boats within storage facilities & the yard using Brownell hydraulic trailer.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a focus on route driving, shuttle driving, or heavy haul transportation.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems related to Hydraulic commercial vehicles
- Skilled in operating trucks & trailers, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members effectively.
- Physical capability to load/unload boats manually or with mechanical assistance; comfortable working in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions.
