We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of all financial statements
- Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership
- Manage the general ledger accounting process, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
- Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and implement internal audit procedures to safeguard assets and enhance operational efficiency.
- Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements for government agencies and other stakeholders with precision and timeliness.
- Supervise cash management activities, including forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity analysis to optimize cash flow.
- Oversee payroll processing in compliance with applicable laws and regulations using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Develop comprehensive financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
- Manage budgeting processes, variance analysis, and financial forecasting to align with organizational goals.
- Maintain technical accounting standards related to non-profit or governmental sectors as applicable, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for all financial activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes through automation and best practices adoption.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader with accounting knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of standards, and technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account reconciliation.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial systems using accounting software like Dealertrack DMS preferred.
- Strong background in cash management, budgeting, financial analysis, account analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
