Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all accounting functions, manage regulatory compliance, and drive strategic financial planning. Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of all financial statements
• Partner with the General Manager to manage the financial results of the dealership
• Manage the general ledger accounting process, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
• Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and implement internal audit procedures to safeguard assets and enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting requirements for government agencies and other stakeholders with precision and timeliness.
• Supervise cash management activities, including forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity analysis to optimize cash flow.
• Oversee payroll processing in compliance with applicable laws and regulations using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Develop comprehensive financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
• Manage budgeting processes, variance analysis, and financial forecasting to align with organizational goals.
• Maintain technical accounting standards related to non-profit or governmental sectors as applicable, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for all financial activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in accounting processes through automation and best practices adoption.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader with accounting knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of standards, and technical accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and account reconciliation.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex financial systems using accounting software like Dealertrack DMS preferred.
• Strong background in cash management, budgeting, financial analysis, account analysis, and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
