Job Summary:
Minimum 40 hours per week - Salary commensurate with experience.
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. 5 years experience required. The successful candidate will perform legal research, draft documents, and provide support in various areas of law, emphasis on Worker's Compensation and Liability Defense. Duties:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, and briefs
- Manage your own case load including case management and preparation for litigation
- Attend court hearings and depositions as needed
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters
- Perform administrative tasks related to legal matters, such as maintaining files and organizing documents Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New Jersey State Bar association
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
- Experience with legal drafting and writing
- Ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients
