Duties
- Perform aesthetic injections including botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers with precision and care, ensuring optimal results while prioritizing patient safety.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating facial anatomy, skin condition, and medical history to develop customized treatment plans.
- Educate clients on available procedures, expected outcomes, post-treatment care, and potential side effects to ensure informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation of all procedures performed, adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols.
- Stay current with the latest aesthetic techniques, products, and industry standards through ongoing training and professional development.
- Assist with patient intake processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks to streamline documentation.
- Ensure sterile technique and infection control practices are followed diligently during all procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license with current certification to perform aesthetic injections.
- Proven experience in administering botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers; esthetic laser treatment experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of facial anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology related to aesthetic procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience working in a medical office environment with familiarity in EMR/EHR systems such as Athenahealth or Cerner.
