What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Confidential?
We are seeking a highly qualified Accounting Manager with strong accounting and finance experience, including a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate should demonstrate full ownership of day-to-day accounting and finance activities and be committed to strengthening our accounting infrastructure and overseeing financial operations end-to-end.
You will partner closely with the CFO to provide financial insights that drive decision-making in a complex business model that combines manufacturing, supply chain management, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project & Cost Accounting: Perform cost analysis of international projects and monitor financial health throughout the project lifecycle.
- P&L Management: Analyze deviations in the assigned P&L and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Accounting Oversight: Supervise the accounting of assigned companies and projects; follow up on discrepancies and propose necessary adjustments.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the review of the annual official budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Cash Flow Optimization: Elaborate and manage cash flow projections to ensure operational efficiency.
- Strategic Support: Provide financial support to business lines, as well as the bids, contracting, and legal teams.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of total professional experience.
- At least 3 years as an auditor in a Big Four firm (PwC, Deloitte, EY, or KPMG) is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced Accounting: Strong mastery of U.S. GAAP.
- Systems: Proficiency in SAP (Basic) and Business Intelligence (BI) systems (Intermediate).
- Software: Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
Regular Interlocutors:
- Internal: ECO FIN Department, Area Directors, Country Managers, Legal Department, and cross-functional teams (Treasury, AR, etc.).
- External: External advisors (legal/tax/accounting), Customers, and Suppliers.
