We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our hotel. This role is responsible for managing daily accounting functions, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and accounting standards, and supporting operational departments with accurate financial insights. Key duties include supervising the accounting team, managing accounts payable/receivable, overseeing payroll, reconciling accounts, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring timely month-end closing. Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and revenue audits.
- Ensure compliance with hotel brand standards, local regulations, and GAAP.
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting with department heads.
- Review and analyze financial performance to support operational decision-making.
- Supervise and train accounting staff; ensure efficient workflow and accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain accurate records for payroll, taxes, and financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience; hotel or hospitality industry experience strongly preferred.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with hotel accounting software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, M3, Sage, or similar) and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
