Family Office Accountant
A well-established private investment office is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations across a diverse portfolio of entities and investments. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while supporting a broad range of accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping for multiple entities, trusts, and investment structures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Process domestic and international wire transfers while ensuring proper documentation and internal controls.
- Assist with investment funding activities, including capital contributions, distributions, and related cash movement.
- Track and reconcile expenditures associated with investment assets and operating activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and investment transactions.
- Review and classify credit card and operating expenses accurately.
- Prepare reports and supporting schedules for tax reporting and year-end compliance.
- Provide accounting support for payroll and other administrative finance functions as needed.
- Process payments related to investments, operating expenses, charitable activities, and other financial obligations.
- Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with internal policies.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reconciliations.
- Experience processing wire transfers and managing high-volume payment activity.
- Exposure to payroll support is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a small, team-oriented environment.
Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
