Qualified applicants should have:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, supplemented by specialized vehicle and equipment repair courses applicable to gasoline and diesel maintenance and repair.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of supervisory experience as a lead mechanic or manager in an automotive, trucking, or heavy equipment environment (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certifications: ASE certification is a plus. A valid CDL is preferred.
- Administrative Skills: Ability to oversee maintenance-related invoices, monitor mechanic team repair times and efficiency, track work order trends, and handle month-end terminal requirements.
- Maintenance Programs: Direct experience with Preventative Maintenance (PM) Programs.
- Technical Skills: Ability to perform and oversee PM inspections and system field tests.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications is preferred.
- Financial Skills: Ability to participate in developing yearly maintenance budgets for the terminal.
- Emergency Response: Flexibility to perform emergency roadside services, if needed.
- Shop Upkeep: Experience maintaining tools, supplies, and shop conditions to ensure a neat, orderly, and safe environment for all employees.
