Comp: $110–170k
Location: DC / Maryland / Northern Virginia (Hybrid field office)
About Us
We are a leading commercial subcontractor specializing in historic restoration of some of the nation’s most iconic landmarks — including federal buildings, memorials, and major architectural sites. Our work demands excellence, precision, and an ability to operate under strict government, preservation, and quality standards.
About the Role
We’re seeking a high-caliber Project Manager who combines strong analytical horsepower with the ability to lead complex construction projects. This role owns the P&L for projects ranging from $5–10M, managing budgets, timelines, subcontractors, and client expectations.
Construction experience is helpful — but raw intelligence, accountability, communication skills, and the ability to “figure it out” are even more important. We are open to two candidate profiles:
- Strong construction PMs with high problem-solving capacity
- High-IQ generalists (consulting, operations, engineering, economics, etc.) eager to be trained in construction
What You’ll Do
- Lead all aspects of commercial restoration projects from kickoff to closeout
- Manage job budgets, schedules, and cost controls
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field teams
- Interpret drawings/specifications (we can teach this if needed)
- Maintain compliance with government and preservation standards
- Solve problems quickly in a dynamic, high-stakes environment
- Communicate clearly and confidently with clients and internal teams
What We’re Looking For
- Strong analytical/technical thinking — high horsepower is key
- Ability to read drawings (or willingness to learn quickly)
- Excellent communication leadership
- Ownership mentality and desire to drive outcomes
- Comfortable managing $5M projects and full P&L responsibility
- Ambitious, adaptable, and eager to learn the craft of restoration
- Able to commute within DC / Maryland / Northern Virginia (1-hour radius)
Why Join Us
- Work on nationally significant, once-in-a-career projects
- High autonomy accountability
- Growth-oriented, innovative team
- Opportunity to shape the next generation of restoration talent
- Compensation flexible for the right candidate
