The Opportunity
We're looking for a General Dentist to join our orthodontic office in Salem. You'll work alongside our orthodontist and clinical team, providing general dentistry services to our patients and handling debonds for orthodontic patients completing treatment. It's a great fit for a dentist who enjoys a collaborative, specialty-focused setting and a steady, predictable schedule, with no need to build a patient base from scratch.
What You'll Do
- Perform orthodontic debonds, including bracket and adhesive removal, enamel cleanup and polishing
- Provide general dentistry services to orthodontic patients, such as exams, restorative care, and treatment as needed
- Evaluate patients' oral health before, during, and after orthodontic treatment and refer to specialists when appropriate
- Collaborate with the orthodontist on treatment coordination and case transitions
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and charting
- Communicate clearly with patients and parents about findings, care, and next steps
- Support a positive, patient-centered team culture
What We're Looking For
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Active Oregon dental license (or eligibility to obtain one) in good standing with the Oregon Board of Dentistry
- Current DEA registration and CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with debonds or an interest in orthodontic support work (new graduates welcome)
- Strong chairside manner with patients of all ages, including children and teens
- Team player who communicates well and values efficiency and quality
