Position Summary
This role provides senior leadership and oversight for construction operations, project management, and project administration activities. The position is responsible for aligning day-to-day execution with strategic objectives while maintaining accountability for budgets, schedules, quality, safety, and profitability across assigned projects. The role also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and operational best practices in support of long-term business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight for construction and project operations, including client management, financial performance, reporting, workforce planning, and procedural compliance.
- Maintain full accountability for project budgets, schedules, cash flow, and profitability while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop project management teams by actively managing workloads, performance, professional growth, and client development capabilities.
- Foster and grow strong client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and primary escalation point for customer concerns, negotiations, and change management.
- Promote positive relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and strategic partners while ensuring fair, professional, and ethical business practices.
- Oversee project initiation and execution processes, including quality job start-up meetings, monthly project reviews, and closeout procedures.
- Conduct regular project performance reviews to assess schedule adherence, quality, safety, administrative compliance, and financial results.
- Analyze workforce capacity and assign qualified personnel to projects to meet operational demands and project objectives.
- Support business development efforts through participation in client meetings, interviews, presentations, and networking events to secure new work.
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to resolve complex operational, technical, and client-related issues.
- Lead financial oversight activities, including labor, material, cost tracking, forecasting, change management, and Schedule of Values development to maintain positive cash flow.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, projections, and documentation across assigned projects.
- Oversee project closeout activities, including documentation, data verification, and client approvals.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support efficient operations and successful project delivery.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive project management experience in electrical construction.
- Demonstrated success managing large, complex projects and leading project teams.
- Proven ability to build client relationships and support business development efforts.
- Experience mentoring, developing, and leading project management professionals.
- Strong background in client-facing roles with significant relationship management responsibilities.

- Advanced knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, equipment, and project delivery systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software platforms; estimating software experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proven people leadership, process improvement, and performance management capabilities.
