Sales & Landscape Design Representative (Up to $200K Opportunity)
We are a highly-reputable, 20 years in business, and growing landscape design-build company looking for a dedicated sales & design professional to represent our company as an independent sales contractor. Our marketing efforts generate more than 1,000 leads and serve 250-300 customers during a typical landscaping season in and around Northeast Ohio, with design-build projects ranging from modest lawn replacements to large hardscape construction projects.
This role is ideal for an experienced candidate who understands:
- Lawn replacement, landscaping & hardscaping
- A structured sales process
- How to close contracts with discriminating customers
The Primary Duties for this Role are:
- Pursue pre-qualified residential & commercial candidates (no cold calling)
- Follow up on pre-arranged customer appointments in a timely & professional manner
- Diagnose customer needs, set expectations, and control the sales process
- Create landscape & hardscape designs & estimates using company software
- Collaborate with our team of professionals to develop design concepts, budgets, and estimates
- Close individual landscape & hardscape projects typically ranging from $5k to $300k in value
- A typical close rate on customer leads is 30%
What Specialized Skills are Required:
- Know how to qualify or disqualify landscape & hardscape opportunities, quickly
- Have the discipline to follow a structured sales process
- Are a self-starter and problem solver
It's a Bonus if You:
- Have prior construction or landscape experience
- Have worked in residential services sales or landscaping or hardscaping design sales
- Have exposure to Sandler, Challenger, or consultative sales frameworks
Compensation:
- $5,000 per month Draw Commission
- Net commission tied to landscape production target of $3m in sales
- A top performer earns annual an annual gross income of $200,000
Work Structure:
- Fully-dedicated and engaged independent contractor over 7–8 month primary season (usually Mar-Nov)
- Flexible, part-time work schedule during winter months (usually Dec-Feb)
- Focused, high-output schedule during peak season
- Ongoing sales & design training to continually enhance critical job skills
Qualified Candidates will:
- Complete a DISC assessment
- Go through a structured interview process
- Receive on-the-job training & integration
