Position: Physical Security Project Manager

Location: San Luis Obispo, CA (Hybrid, 2 days in-office)

Pay: $75 to $85/hour

Experience:

• 5 years of project management experience.
• Construction experience running low-voltage, structured cabling, security or electrical contracting projects.
• Experience in running Security projects.

Education: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Type: Contract

Conde Group is seeking a Physical Security Project Manager to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Define project scope, develop schedules, allocate resources, and set up projects in Planisware with clear deliverables and milestones.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality metrics, and key objectives.
• Develop statements of work (SOWs), requirements, test plans, and other deliverables.
• Lead weekly status meetings, document action items, and maintain project files.
• Delegate tasks to project team members and coordinate across stakeholders.
• Conduct site walk-downs and oversee physical installation activities when required.
• Proactively identify risks, manage scope changes, and implement contingency plans.
• Manage project financials, reporting, and vendor coordination using tools such as Planisware, Ariba, SAP, Forecasts, and Jira.
• Capture lessons learned, prepare closeout documentation, and ensure smooth transition of project deliverables.

Position Requirements:

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project strongly desired).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage management, stakeholders, and clients effectively.
• Experience working independently and collaboratively in dynamic environments.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and ITIL practices.
• Understanding of SDLC processes, engineering practices, and IT project management fundamentals.
• Strong contracting and financial management skills with the ability to interpret job financial reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Field PM Experience: Managing projects involving Access Controls, Intrusion Detection, and Video Surveillance systems.
• Application PM Experience: Overseeing development, deployment, or product management of applications in the physical security domain.
