Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)

Pay: $80 to $90/hour (Depending on experience)

Type: Contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Conde Group is seeking an IT Project Manager to join a growing and dynamic team! This role leads the planning, design, and implementation of complex IT, physical security, and construction-related infrastructure projects. The IT Project Manager serves as the primary owner of assigned projects from initiation through deployment and transition to operations, acting as a key liaison between IT, Construction teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Lead concurrent IT, Physical Security, and Construction infrastructure projects from planning through deployment and closeout.
• Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge of implemented technologies, including access control, video, and related systems.
• Define and document project scope, requirements, budgets, schedules, and resource plans using standard project management tools.
• Assemble, staff, and lead cross-functional project teams; clearly define roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
• Conduct project kickoffs and provide ongoing leadership to project analysts and schedulers.
• Manage project financials, including cost forecasting, tracking, materials, and contract spend.
• Track and communicate project status, risks, issues, and change impacts to stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintain detailed project schedules and monitor milestones; proactively resolve schedule, scope, or cost risks.
• Coordinate vendor and contract work in accordance with company policies and service agreements.
• Conduct site visits and walkthroughs as needed to support project execution.
• Assess project performance and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Build strong working relationships with sponsors, clients, vendors, and internal partners.
• Prepare and complete all project documentation for closeout, auditing, and record retention.

Position Requirements:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience managing medium- to high-complexity IT infrastructure projects.
• Required experience with access control, video, and related security systems from an application perspective.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, cost tracking, and financial controls.
• Strong understanding and application of project management principles and methodologies.
• Experience delivering IT infrastructure projects including networking, data centers, security, telecommunications, and voice/data systems.
• Strong resource planning, scheduling, and execution skills in a matrixed environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, analytical, and effective in problem-solving.

Desired Qualifications:

• PMP certification (PMI) preferred.
• Experience with Primavera, PPMC, SAP, or Microsoft Visio a plus.
• Additional project management certifications or advanced coursework preferred.
