Position: Data Governance Analyst

Location: Oakland, CA (Remote, with the ability to be onsite as needed)

Pay: $93 to $94/hour

Conde Group is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Execute defined stewardship work under the direction of Business Data Stewards (BDS are matrixed roles to this effort), including:
• Assist with Metadata definition and maintenance (business definitions, attributes, standards).
• Review and validate data profiling results.
• Identify data quality issues and root causes
• Plan for and eventual execution of approved remediation activities.
• Provide business usage context for datasets, including creation, consumption, and dependency insights.
• Support Planning‑for‑Control readiness by ensuring required metadata, rules, and checks are complete.
• Collaborate with Technical Stewards and System Owners to validate lineage and system behavior.
• Escalate risks or gaps that could prevent datasets from achieving the required maturity.
