We are seeking a strong Plant Manager to lead a newly transitioned, fully automated facility. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage operational complexity while developing and supporting the workforce through this transformation.
Primary Responsibilities & Key Objectives
The Plant Manager will oversee all plant operations with a focus on safety, automation, and team development.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily operations across a fully automated plant environment.
- Leading and developing a team of approximately 62 employees.
- Driving a safety-first culture, ensuring both employee and customer safety.
- Supporting the transition from manual to automated processes.
- Implementing a continuous improvement mindset across operations.
- Acting as a mentor-style leader, particularly within an inner-city workforce demographic.
- Ensuring product quality and customer service excellence.
- Bringing the plant to full operational capacity within the first 6 months.
Industry Knowledge & Experience
- Precast or concrete industry experience strongly preferred.
- Understanding of Automated plant systems, CPA/NCP standards, American Concrete Pipe Association (ACPA), Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) requirements.
