What are the responsibilities and job description for the Linen Distributor position at COMTEX?
Part Time: Monday-Friday
Hours: 7am - 3:30pm
JOB SUMMARY:
We have 1 part-time to full-time hours available as our Medical Linen Distributor. Must be able to pass background check.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assist with unloading of clean linen and loading of soiled linen onto COMTEX trucks
- Counts, prepares and weighs linen as needed for delivery to units or return to COMTEX
- Delivers carts to linen using areas though operation
- Ensures each linen using area has sufficient carts for soiled linen
- Manually delivers carts to units that are not accessible
- Communicates effectively with hospital staff and representatives of COMTEX
- Informs COMTEX Customer Relations Specialists of any service-related problems
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area and immediately reports any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards
- Performs other related duties as assigned

OTHER JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.
- Participates in and coordinates with organizational process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues. Adheres to established policies and procedures, which may include wearing of personal protective equipment.
