EHS Safety Engineer
Location: Glendale, KY (Onsite)
Position Overvie
wWe are seeking an experienced EHS Safety Engineer to support Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Glendale, Kentucky. This role is ideal for a safety professional with experience in large-scale manufacturing environments, particularly within the automotive industry
.The selected candidate will complete approximately 6 months of paid training in Marshall, Michigan, before transitioning to the permanent work location in Glendale, KY. Company-provided accommodations will be available during the training period
.Key Responsibilitie
- sDevelop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- .Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
- .Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
- .Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
- .Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations
- .Support emergency preparedness and emergency response programs
- .Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management
- .Partner with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to improve workplace safety and environmental performance
- .Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
.Qualification
- sBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field
- .Experience working in large manufacturing organizations
- .Experience in the automotive or automotive-related manufacturing industry
- .Stable employment history, including at least three years with the most recent employer
- .Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental compliance
- .Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and employee safety training
- .Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- .Willingness to complete approximately six months of training in Marshall, MI before relocating to Glendale, KY
.Preferred Qualification
- sExperience in high-volume manufacturing or production environments
- .Experience supporting battery, automotive, or advanced manufacturing operations
- .Professional EHS certifications such as ASP, CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
