What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Compunnel, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Worker role is responsible for preparing and packing orders for shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer specifications. This includes ensuring accuracy in packaging, labeling, and documentation while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards in a warehouse environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive packing orders and pack products as per customer specifications, ensuring correct configuration, labeling, documentation, and packaging materials
- Verify product specifications such as revisions, manufacturing date, expiration date, and storage requirements against customer requests
- Label hazardous material shipments in compliance with DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations
- Maintain packing logs including order counts, box counts, weights, and total volume on delivery orders
- Assist in operating case packing equipment by loading products, labeling boxes, and stacking to meet standard production rates
- Use hand-powered trucks or similar equipment when required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following PPE and safety protocols
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Organize and consolidate warehouse and storage areas
- Participate in Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental programs (SAFE meetings, BBS observer, training, housekeeping, 5S)
- Follow operating procedures for proper inventory handling, storage, and staging of materials
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and push/pull drums weighing up to 600 lbs
- Ability to wear respiratory protection equipment (respirator)
- Good manual dexterity
