Job Summary The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile delivery processes, supporting Scrum teams, and ensuring successful execution of software development initiatives. This role will work closely with Product Owners, development teams, stakeholders, and business partners to drive Agile best practices, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong Scrum expertise, leadership skills, and experience supporting software development teams in Agile environments. Key Responsibilities Manage project scope, timelines, and Agile delivery activities to support successful project execution. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions. Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement methodologies. Promote collaboration and effective communication among cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for Agile process-related communications with stakeholders and business partners. Partner with Product Owners to manage product backlogs, prioritize work, and address new business requirements. Identify and remove impediments that may impact team productivity and delivery objectives. Facilitate conflict resolution and support teams in overcoming challenges. Guide teams in adopting and implementing process improvements and organizational changes. Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with project objectives. Drive continuous improvement and help teams achieve higher levels of Agile and Scrum maturity. Foster a positive, productive work environment that encourages accountability, ownership, and teamwork. Support Agile planning, tracking, reporting, and delivery activities across multiple initiatives as needed. Required Qualifications 5 years of experience serving as a Scrum Master in Agile software development environments. Minimum 5 years of experience in software development or software delivery organizations. Strong knowledge of Scrum methodologies, Agile principles, and Scrum artifacts, including user stories, Definition of Done, automated testing concepts, and backlog refinement. Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills. Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Experience working closely with Product Owners, development teams, and business stakeholders. Ability to guide teams through Agile transformations and continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. Ability to work onsite at the client location in San Diego, CA. Preferred Qualifications Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent). Experience mentoring and coaching junior team members. Familiarity with version control and development tools such as SVN, Git, Gradle, and Bitbucket. Experience supporting enterprise-scale Agile delivery programs. Knowledge of Agile metrics, reporting, and delivery governance practices. Certifications Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
