Job Summary:
The Retail Merchandising Associate is responsible for executing always-on retail merchandising programs that drive customer awareness, discovery, and conversion across the retail marketplace. This role manages the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle—from trend identification to on-platform placement—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to test, measure, and scale initiatives that increase traffic, engagement, and Gross Order Value (GOV). The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can translate insights into scalable merchandising executions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute end-to-end evergreen merchandising initiatives that link off-app discovery to in-app conversion.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Shopex, Growth, and Analytics teams to design, launch, and optimize merchandising levers.
- Support monetary and non-monetary campaigns in partnership with merchants and Marketing for seamless execution.
- Identify and respond to cultural, seasonal, and trend-based signals to maintain relevant and dynamic retail experiences (e.g., viral products, trending categories, new releases).
- Monitor and report on performance metrics such as CTR, CVR, GOV lift, and engagement to assess effectiveness and guide iterative improvements.
- Maintain high-quality retail storytelling that aligns merchant brand identity with customer relevance.
- Contribute to playbooks and SOPs that document best practices for retail merchandising.
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, marketing operations, or category management, ideally in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment (tech, retail, e-commerce, or marketplaces).
- Data-driven and creative with the ability to balance analytical and aesthetic considerations in merchandising decisions.
- Strong ownership mentality with a focus on improving processes, scaling learnings, and delivering measurable results.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity and iterative experimentation.
- Excellent organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills, capable of managing multiple concurrent programs with attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with merchandising or marketing analytics tools.
- Familiarity with SEO, paid media, or affiliate marketing programs.
