Lab Associate – Parasitology (Contract)
Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Tue–Sat | 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
2-month contract (possible extension)
Pay: $21.50/hr
We’re hiring a Lab Associate to support a fast-paced Parasitology lab. This role focuses on hands-on sample processing and general lab operations in a high-volume environment.
What You’ll Do
- Unbag, barcode, and prepare biological samples (blood, urine, fecals, biopsies).
- Move samples throughout the lab; load analyzers and centrifuges.
- Retrieve samples from refrigerated storage.
- Assist with data entry, inventory, shipping/receiving, and lab cleanliness.
- Follow SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in fast-paced environments (lab, vet tech/assistant, warehouse, food service, fulfillment, etc.).
- Comfortable handling biological specimens with PPE.
- Able to stand/move for the full shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office; SAP a plus).
- Reliable commute to Dallas location.
