Compensation: $110,000 – $120,000 WWW.MOSSBERG.COM Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for planning and executing supplier quality activities, including supplier evaluation, development, maintenance, and continuous process improvement. This role plays a critical part in driving quality excellence across the supply chain.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and continuously improve the Supplier Quality ManualGuide RII personnel in daily priorities and troubleshootingAnalyze and monitor supplier quality escapes and corrective actionsParticipate in critical supplier reviews and performance evaluationsPrepare and present supplier quality metrics and KPIsMonitor annual supplier surveys and certification expirationsExamine products to ensure conformance to quality standardsPerform testing using precision measuring instruments (electronic and manual)Evaluate product characteristics such as color, finish, dimensions, hardness, and densityPrepare and analyze root cause and corrective action reportsMonitor incoming inspection results and manage M.R.B. data and dispositionMaintain the Material Review Area to ensure timely product flowConduct quality system, process, and product audits at supplier locationsMaintain all quality records (electronic and hard copy, as required)Develop, modify, and recommend sampling and inspection proceduresCollaborate with suppliers to improve performance, implement process controls, and develop quality assurance plansOversee Receiving Inspectors to ensure efficient departmental workflowPrepare supplier scorecards and maintain supplier risk rating systemsPrepare operations reviews covering Supplier Quality KPIs, action plans, and audit schedulesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentStrong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and industry standardsMinimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar roleExperience in metals manufacturing strongly preferredWorking ConditionsOffice environment within a manufacturing facilityPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift, move, and transport items weighing up to 20 lbsAbility to operate a computer and office equipment for a minimum of 6 hours per dayAbility to remain stationary for extended periods and move throughout the facility as neededAbility to detect and correct errors on paper and computer screensAbility to communicate effectively verbally, nonverbally, and in writingAdditional InformationManagement reserves the right to assign or reassign duties at any timeJob description may be modified as business needs evolveMust be able to perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable regulationsRegular, punctual attendance is requiredExperience with Lean Manufacturing or a willingness to learn and participate is preferred#zip
