Summary: The entry level Maintenance Mechanic is a hands-on problem solver with basic skills in general maintenance, repair, and upkeep. You are the kind of person who sees a broken fixture and is already thinking through the fix. All work must be performed within the budgeted standards in a safe, efficient, and professional manner while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety.
Essential Duties
Respond to routine service requests in areas like plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building upkeep.
Assist with preventive maintenance to help ensure long-term functionality and safety.
Maintain cleanliness and safety of workspaces, tools, and materials.
Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Effectively communicate, integrate, and ensure compliance with all policies in all operations.
Coordinate the performance of work following specifications and work plan.
Perform work in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with company and OSHA rules and regulations
Desired Skills And Experience
Basic knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and HVAC
Familiarity with safe tool usage and general repair methods
Good communication skills and a courteous, professional demeanor
Self-Directed
Self-Motivated
Ability to work in a team environment.
Intellectual curiosity, someone who finds/discovers a problem and is just looking to understand it when they do not.
Establish and maintain a safe work environment following OSHA regulations.
Education And Certifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 6 months’ general maintenance or trade experience
Excellent communication skills, the ability to stay organized, and multi-task.
