Warehouse Shipping Clerk – Job Description
The Warehouse Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping operations by preparing orders, processing shipping paperwork, coordinating with warehouse personnel, and ensuring shipments are accurate and ready for dispatch.
Key Duties:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, bills of lading, labels, and other paperwork.
- Enter and update shipment information in warehouse systems.
- Verify orders, quantities, product information, and shipping details for accuracy.
- Coordinate with warehouse associates, drivers, and supervisors regarding incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Check trailers and shipments to ensure the correct products are being shipped.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory movements.
- Assist with tracking shipments and resolving shipping discrepancies.
- Answer phones, emails, and respond to questions regarding shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping files and documentation.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform other clerical and warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or clerical experience preferred.
- Basic computer and data-entry skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, if required by the facility.
