Store Clerk Job Description
Duties:
Provide customer service by greeting and establishing a relationship with customers while informing them of our products and services.
Stocking and facing product on the shelves and in storage
Daily dusting and cleaning requirements
Assist with stocking, facing products and maintaining inventory levels; communicate any inventory issues/concerns to leadership
Lifting and stocking of products up to 50lbs
Stocking an organizing store front and storage areas
Knowledge of Alcohol products
Complete understanding of Delaware Liquor Regulations and Legislation
Require ABC Server License within 30 days of hire.
Ensuring all sales and service actions are in accordance with the provincial legislation and company guidelines
Capable of efficiently and effectively handling customer inquiries and complaints
Capable of operating POS System as well as understanding of credit and debit procedures
Understanding of basic mathematical principles
Capable of performing other job related duties as outlined by management
Ability to work flexible hours
Capable of fulfilling the physical requirements of the position
Clear and concise understanding of the importance of superior customer service
Strong communication skills
Ability to work cohesively with coworkers as part of a team
Must be at least 21 years old
Must have a good attendance record and is punctual
Demonstrates trustworthiness
Previous Retail or Liquor Store experience and knowledge and asset
Stay up-to-date with product knowledge to effectively assist customers
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy store layout
- Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate with customers and team members
- Technical sales experience is a plus
