We are seeking a high-energy, compassionate Full-Time Unit Secretary to join our team. This role is essential to our daily operations, serving as the heartbeat of the unit.
Responsibilities
- Admissions Support: Greet residents upon arrival, assist with admission paperwork, and help acclimate residents and families to the facility.
- Patient Advocacy: Follow up with new admissions to ensure a positive experience and a smooth transition.
- Communication Hub: Handle electronic, telephone, and face-to-face interactions with residents, families, prospects, and external healthcare partners.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a great team to ensure all resident needs are met promptly.
- Professional Conduct: Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public at all times.
- Independent Judgment: Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Integrity & Service: Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.
- Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of resident and facility information.
- Scheduling: Maintain a flexible schedule throughout the weekdays based on the needs of our residents and the facility.
Education & Licensing
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CNA License Required: Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant license.
- Efficiency: Ability to be highly organized and efficient in a high-volume environment.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills required for data entry and communication.
- Communication: Strong written and spoken English skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Independence: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and function independently while being a reliable team player.
- Directives: Able to understand and follow complex written and verbal directions.
