Role Summary
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Complete Care at Boulevard supervises daily clinical operations to ensure the highest quality of resident care. Working closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), you will oversee staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a compassionate environment in accordance with all local, state, and federal standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Leadership: Assist the DON in directing nursing functions, conducting daily clinical rounds, and evaluating resident status to maintain facility standards.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in the facility’s QA program, review nursing documentation for accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Staff Management: Manage RN, LPN, and CNA staffing levels. Assist with performance evaluations, work assignments, and lead in-service training for clinical staff.
- Resident Advocacy: Coordinate admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary care planning. Act as a liaison between residents, families, and physicians.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to the Nursing Procedures Manual and investigate any clinical concerns while prioritizing resident rights and safety.
- License: Must hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an ADON or Nurse Supervisor is required; Long-Term Care (LTC) experience is preferred.
- Education: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Clinical Skills: Proficiency in restorative nursing practices and the ability to provide direct care (IVs, specimens, etc.) when necessary.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a team harmoniously and make independent decisions under pressure.
