Position Overview
A growing, multi-site behavioral healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Operations to provide strategic and hands-on operational leadership across outpatient and residential levels of care. This role is responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational excellence, regulatory alignment, staff supervision, and cross-departmental coordination across multiple locations.
The Director of Operations will directly oversee Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Supervisors, support site leadership, and partner closely with executive leadership, clinical leadership, compliance, and human resources to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
- Provide comprehensive operational leadership for outpatient and residential treatment programs across multiple locations.
- Ensure consistency in workflows, staffing models, scheduling, and service delivery across sites.
- Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and risks; develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Support new program launches, expansions, and operational transitions.
Leadership & Staff Management
- Directly supervise and support BHT Supervisors, ensuring appropriate staffing coverage, performance management, and accountability.
- Partner with site leadership to ensure front-line staff are trained, supported, and operating within scope and policy.
- Address performance concerns, escalations, and disciplinary matters in collaboration with Human Resources.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and client-centered care.
Compliance & Quality Support
- Collaborate with Compliance to ensure adherence to state licensing, accreditation, and internal policies.
- Support audits, inspections, corrective action plans, and ongoing regulatory readiness.
- Ensure operational practices align with organizational and regulatory standards.
Interdepartmental Collaboration
- Serve as an operational liaison between clinical, admissions, case management, nursing, and administrative teams.
- Support census management, staffing efficiency, and operational readiness across all programs.
- Maintain an active on-site presence across locations as needed.
Reporting & Strategic Support
- Track and report on operational metrics, staffing trends, and performance indicators.
- Provide regular operational updates and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Contribute to budgeting support, forecasting, and organizational growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive operations leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multi-site operations and multiple levels of care.
- Proven experience managing supervisors and front-line operational staff.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare compliance environments.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and leadership maturity.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $65,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and scope of responsibility.

Work Environment
- Full-time leadership role with multi-site presence required.
- Main location presence in Fort Lauderdale but at least weekly site visits in South Hollywood required also.
