Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team at our Residential Treatment Center in Hollywood, FL.
Our residential level of care provides 24/7 structured, live-in treatment for adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Patients receive intensive clinical support in a safe, therapeutic environment designed to promote stability, recovery, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct care, supervision, and support to patients in a residential setting
- Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention when necessary
- Build positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and team members
- Maintain a safe and structured environment for all patients
- Act as a liaison between patients and the clinical team
- Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
- Model appropriate professional behavior and maintain healthy boundaries
- Support a positive peer culture through reinforcement and engagement
Qualifications
- Experience working with the mental health and/or substance use population required
- Must have a valid and clear driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a Level II Background Screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
Schedule Requirements
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
