Compal is seeking an experienced Technical Training Specialist to support overseeing manufacturing training programs that drive workforce readiness, compliance, and performance. Partnering closely with Operations leaders, Human Resources, and the People Development team, this role identifies learning needs, implements scalable training solutions, and measures program effectiveness.
Training initiatives include onboarding, skills development, leadership programs, compliance training, and large-scale learning events, all aligned with business goals, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage manufacturing training programs to ensure employee skills meet current and future production needs.
- Own the design, execution, and measurement of technical training initiatives, including leadership development, internship programs, and skills-based training.
- Oversee onboarding and ongoing technical and operational training for manufacturing and support teams.
- Partner with Operations and HR to identify training needs, define success metrics, and establish time-to-competency targets.
- Manage training projects to ensure timely delivery, quality execution, and alignment with operational priorities.
- Oversee development and maintenance of training content, including curricula, e-learning, workshops, job aids, and SOP-aligned materials.
- Ensure all training programs comply with OSHA, ISO, and internal policy requirements.
- Administer learning systems (LMS, SCORM packaging, completion tracking, competency records) and ensure data accuracy and reporting.
- Track, analyze, and report training effectiveness, onboarding success, compliance status, and program ROI.
- Lead and support training coordinators and cross-functional partners to ensure consistent program delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (colleges, vendors, workforce development organizations) to support learning initiatives.
- Maintain audit-ready training documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Plan and support large-scale training events and maintain a site-wide training calendar.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5 years of experience in training, learning & development, or workforce development within manufacturing or operations
- 2 years of experience leading training programs, projects, or teams
- Experience supporting factory or production environments preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with LMS platforms, training documentation, and compliance systems preferred
