- Current registration as a Professional Engineer in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven subject matter expertise in Structural Mechanics including seismic analysis/testing, FEA stress-strain analysis, impact and dynamic load analysis, and mechanical integrity.
- Substantial experience in pressure equipment (piping, pipelines, vessels, tanks), design, analysis, and failure analysis within the nuclear power, process industries, or DOE complex.
- Must be a US Citizen capable of acquiring a security clearance

Responsibilities And Duties
- Lead the development and application of advanced structural and mechanical analysis for complex engineering challenges.
- Apply specialized knowledge to structural qualification (e.g., seismic, impact, explosion effects).
- Provide solutions for extreme load engineering and risk-informed inspection programs.
- Oversee mechanical integrity assessments, failure analysis, and component troubleshooting.
- Mentor and advise design engineering staff.
- Develop plans for research, budgeting, and resource management.
- Represent SRNS in professional organizations and technical oversight groups.
- Prepare detailed reports and technical manuscripts; communicate results internally and externally.
- Conduct field walk-downs and provide engineering oversight in active work zones.
- Recognized expert with mastery of technical field and ability to solve complex problems
- Proven record of advancing knowledge in the field
- Extensive experience with pressure equipment (piping, pipeline systems, vessels, tanks) including design, analysis, qualification, inspection, fitness-for-service, integrity management, failure analysis, and repairs
- Specific experience in nuclear power industry, process industries, and DOE complex
- Prior experience working within SRNS or DOE projects.
- Experience with extreme load analysis and specialized simulation software.
- Proven mentorship or leadership in engineering teams.
- Active DOE “Q” or “L” security clearance preferred.
- Ph.D. degree and about 12 years' experience, OR
- MS degree and 15 years' experience, OR
- BS degree and about 18 years' experience, OR
- current registration as a Professional Engineer in one of these disciplines. (Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.)
