What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Commuter Comforts?
Commuter Comforts is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Barista to join our team for 4-5 shifts per week including Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coffee and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced café/bar environment. Health Insurance available for employees working 30 hours or more per week.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following recipes and quality standards
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance the overall customer experience
- Ability to prepare and serve simple alcoholic beverages
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café/bar area
- Prepare and serve food
Requirements:
- Experience as a barista is required
- Must have an outgoing personality, be a quick thinker and able to handle a high volume service environment
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers - Toast experience a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in a team environment and deliver outstanding customer service
- Weekend availability a must
Compensation:
- $18.00 hourly plus $14.00 - $19.00 hourly in tips.
Pay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hour
