Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties

• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned tradesmen.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
• Direct assemblies and installations at job sites.
• Order materials, equipment, and tools as needed to maintain efficient use of labor resources.
• Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
• Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
• Study schedules and estimate man-hour requirements for completion of jobs.
• Analyze and resolve work problems.
• Maintain accurate time records for assigned crew.
• Perform a variety of duties as assigned and which may change often.
  
  

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with commercial sheet metal ductwork installations.
• Pipefitting and welding experience.
• Understand shop math; work skillfully with tools, PVCs, and machines.
• Ability to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, or blueprints.
• Work within precise limits and standards; perform a variety of duties which often change.
• Rate information using measurable standards.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to use software for calendars, planning, and workflow processes.
  
  

Safety Awareness

Drug test, background check, and a clean driving record are pre-employment requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction).
• Must use hands, fingers, arms, and legs fully; lift up to 100 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, and lift.
• Must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
