Facility Maintenance Technician
Community Options, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance Team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and appearance of agency vehicles, residential homes, and program facilities. The Technician performs a variety of preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with agency standards.
The ideal candidate possesses a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience in vehicle repair, fleet maintenance, or general maintenance, and a valid Colorado driver's license with an insurable driving record. Experience with facility maintenance, mechanical systems, and computerized recordkeeping is preferred.
Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on agency vehicles, such as oil changes, safety inspections, brakes, electrical troubleshooting, heating and cooling systems, steering components, wheelchair lift systems, and other service-related repairs. The Technician also works closely with the Facility Manager to coordinate larger repairs with outside vendors and maintain accurate service records using computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
In addition to fleet responsibilities, this position assists with facility maintenance projects, including plumbing, electrical repairs, appliance installation and repair, painting, drywall repair, exterior maintenance, snow removal, and other general upkeep tasks. The Technician prioritizes work orders, responds to maintenance requests, communicates effectively with staff across all program areas, and participates in an on-call rotation with other Maintenance Team members.
This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional relationships with coworkers, individuals served, and members of the public. Work is performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and working with tools and equipment. The ability to safely lift up to 60 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance is required.
