What You'll Do
As a DSP, you will provide hands-on support and encouragement to individuals receiving services. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with daily living activities such as: bathing, dressing, meal prep, housekeeping and personal care. Supporting individuals in building communication and social skills, independence and community involvement along with administering medications in accordance with Colorado QMAP guidelines, monitoring and documenting changes in health, behavior, and well-being. You'll assist in implementing individualized support plans and goals, transporting individuals to appointments, community activities, employment opportunities and/or recreational outings while creating a safe, positive and respectful environment
What We're Looking For
We're seeking compassionate individuals who are reliable, patient, and passionate about helping others succeed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred; must meet all agency hiring and eligibility requirements to include a valid Colorado driver's license with acceptable driving record, ability to obtain QMAP certification, first aid/CPR certification (training provided by COI within 90 days of hire).
