Position Summary
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role handles patient scheduling, front desk coordination, data entry, payments, and communication services while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment. The position also provides limited support for our mobile dental clinics and telehealth interpretation as needed.
Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Interaction & Front Desk Support
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Answer and route calls using a multi-line phone system with professionalism.
- Provide bilingual support (English/Spanish) for patients, including interpretation when needed.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments accurately based on provider availability and priority needs.
- Assist patients with completing forms, updating records, and navigating LEAP (our patient companion app).
Administrative & Clerical Duties
- Perform daily insurance/Medicaid and CIIS eligibility checks and reports.
- Maintain and review charts for completeness and accuracy.
- Manage data entry across multiple programs with strong attention to detail.
- Handle mail, scanning, copying, faxing, and general correspondence.
- Support report preparation and proofreading tasks.
Financial & Office Operations
- Collect patient and/or insurance payments following clinic procedures.
- Reconcile end-of-day payments and assist with preparing weekly deposits.
- Maintain front desk and waiting room supplies and ensure both areas remain clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Provide occasional support for mobile dental clinics and telehealth services.
QualificationsRequired
- Strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
- Previous administrative or clerical experience.
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general data-entry tools.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred
- Experience in a medical or dental office setting.
- Office management or executive support experience.
