Patient Access Assistant (float) – full time, Dublin Center

The Community Health Center of the New River Valley is seeking a full-time (40 hours) front office assistant based in its Dublin office.

The hours are Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm and every 6th Saturday morning.

This position is the first to encounter patients and must do so enthusiastically – greeting them with courtesy, respect, and positive communication. This role is responsible for the registration of incoming patients in a prompt manner to avoid delays in arrival time and to ensure a swift check-in process. This position is also responsible for verifying patient demographics and insurance coverage and making changes as necessary, collecting patient payments, scheduling appointments, and answering the phone.

Qualifications: – at least 1 year of experience in a medical office environment; High School degree, or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Compensation Range: $18.50 – $21
Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits.
