This position operates in a 80% Patient Care 20% Administrative role.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialty of Psychiatric Mental Health.
  • Licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or equivalent in the state of Iowa.
  • Minimum of five years of clinical experience in behavioral health, including at least three years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities, regulatory requirements, and community health systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staff, and program development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a community health center or similar healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with integrated care models and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Certification in behavioral health administration or healthcare management.
  • Experience with grant writing and management.
  • Advanced training in trauma-informed care or substance use disorder treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the behavioral health department, including hiring, training, and supervising clinical and support staff.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate behavioral health programs and services to meet community needs and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with primary care and other departments to integrate behavioral health services and promote holistic patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation and funding requirements.
  • Monitor program performance through data analysis and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and grant funding related to behavioral health services.
  • Serve as a liaison with community partners, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to advocate for behavioral health initiatives.
  • Provide leadership in crisis intervention, risk management, and ethical clinical practices.

Salary : $165,000 - $200,000
