Position: SFSP: Summer Meals Coordinator
Status: Non-exempt, full-time
Reports to: Federal Program Coordinator

About the Role: The Summer Meals Coordinator is a key seasonal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of both Congregate and Non‑Congregate Meal Sites within the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). This position ensures that children receive nutritious meals through safe, equitable, compliant, and efficient meal service models. The coordinator will supervise site staff, provide partner support, conduct monitoring visits, manage logistics, oversee documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of all Congregate and Non‑Congregate Meal Sites, ensuring smooth and efficient meal service.
- Ensure timely and accurate meal distribution, including coordinating delivery routes and collaborating with logistics teams.
- Maintain accurate meal records, menus, and documentation required for state and federal reporting.
- Monitor food safety, site compliance, and adherence to Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) regulations across all sites.
- Conduct initial site visits, return monitors, and ongoing compliance checks to assess program effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Summer Meal Partners, responding to questions and ensuring clear communication.
- Supervise and support Summer Feeding Associates, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and operational assistance.
- Assist with loading meals, managing inventory, and ensuring all materials and supplies are accounted for each day.
- Support data collection processes and work with the Federal Program Coordinator to maintain accurate reporting.
- Address operational issues promptly and adapt to changing program needs to ensure high‑quality meal service for children.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with diverse communities and partners.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing program needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Experience with food distribution, logistics, or nonprofit programs is a plus.

- Must have a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
