We are a district that serves over 6,900 students and employs 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Middle School Weightlifting Coach to lead and develop our STMA Community Education Middle School Weightlifting program.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for training young athletes of varying skill levels, developing effective practice plans, and instilling discipline and teamwork. Key duties include teaching weightlifting techniques and ensuring a safe and motivating environment. Strong leadership, communication skills, and a passion for mentoring athletes are essential. Previous coaching experience and a deep understanding of weightlifting are recommended.
Age ranges: 5th-8th Grade
Start date: Thursday, January 13th
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 3:25-4:30 p.m.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting Rate: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
No benefit eligibility, other than Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) as provided by law.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience in instructing/coaching.
