Child Care Director

Job Overview

We are looking for a Child Care Director to lead the daily operations of our early childhood center.

This role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining compliance, and ensuring the center runs efficiently while providing a safe, structured, and high-quality environment for children.

This is a leadership position for someone who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and can build and manage a team—not just oversee a classroom.

Duties

• Oversee daily operations of the childcare center
• Ensure compliance with Wisconsin licensing regulations and company standards
• Lead, coach, and hold staff accountable for performance and professionalism
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment throughout the center
• Support enrollment and maintain strong relationships with families
• Handle parent communication, concerns, and overall experience
• Ensure staff are properly trained in safety procedures, behavior management, and classroom expectations
• Coordinate supplies, routines, and overall center organization

Experience

• Prior experience in childcare (daycare, preschool, or early childhood education)
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of classroom management and child development
• Knowledge of state licensing requirements (or ability to learn quickly)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to lead a team, make decisions, and take responsibility for outcomes

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
