Community Support Specialist -Kirksville
Due to the advancement of our current CSS, CAPNEMO is in search of a Community Support Specialist.
This position connects families, child care providers, and community members with accurate information, quality referrals, and guidance on accessing child care subsidies and community resources in a call center environment.
The role includes documenting interactions, updating provider records, and collaborating with team members to maintain current and accurate service information across Missouri. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
It is expected to deliver compassionate, solution-focused service and offer in-person support. The position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to helping Missouri families access high-quality early care and education.
Education:· An associate degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education, Communication, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of six (6) months of experience in customer service, with working knowledge of early care and education and child care subsidy preferred.
Candidates must be able to pass a Child and Elder Care Worker background check. Candidates must participate in all required training. As a mandated reporter, must report any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the Missouri Child Abuse & Neglect hotline, following Missouri Law and current Agency procedures.
