Early Head Start Teacher -Kirksville
CAPNEMO announces an opening as an Early Head Start Teacher. This is a full-time/full-year position.
The EHS Teacher has major responsibility for maintaining a classroom environment that is nurturing, consistent, stable, and supportive of establishing close relationships with the infants and toddlers in care and their parents. The EHS
teacher develops appropriate plans and individualized learning experiences for infants and toddlers in care. S/he supervises classroom volunteers. Participates in parent/teacher conferences and home visits. Works to fully involve families in the program. Follows all Missouri Childcare Licensing Regulations and Head Start Performance Standards and meets all Head Start recording-keeping and recording requirements. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.A qualified applicant will have at a minimum a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in infant/toddler or an AA or better degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field). Experience preferred.
Must pass a Child and Elder Care Worker screening, provide proof of a yearly physical exam and TB test, and participate in all required training. Must maintain current First Aid and CPR certification. Must maintain a valid Class "F" driver's license, have reliable transportation, and meet Missouri automobile liability minimum requirements.
