The Vice President, Europe is a key member of CTDI’s corporate management team, reporting directly to the CEO. The executive is responsible for leading all facets of CTDI’s business in Europe. CTDI’s core business consists of forward and reverse logistics, test, repair and refurbishment services for electronics in the communications industry. Ultimately, the Vice President, Europe is accountable for the overall performance of CTDI’s European subsidiary, including the balance sheet, P&L, revenue growth, and customer KPI performance. This position is based in CTDI’s global headquarters and involves daily interaction with CTDI’s executive leadership team. The chosen candidate must be willing and able to travel extensively.
CTDI’s European business which is headquartered in Germany consists of 21 operations in 14 countries, with a combined staff of over 4,500 employees. Customers include major telecom carriers and electronic manufacturers, with 2024 revenue exceeding $600 million.
The role requires a strong hands-on leader with proven success, driving strategy, operational performance, and financial results in complex, fast-growing environments. The leader in this position will be responsible for establishing and managing budgets that are aligned with CTDI’s overall corporate objectives while ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and execution of the business vision, strategy, and financial and operational plans for CTDI’s European business
- Provide direct oversight for CTDI’s European subsidiaries, ensuring alignment with corporate goals
- Serve as the senior liaison between European leadership and global headquarters, ensuring seamless communication, reporting, and execution of corporate priorities
- Facilitates daily P&L reporting and analysis, in accordance with CTDI standards
- Partner closely with European Managers to achieve P&L, KPI, and customer performance objectives
- Drives and reports on P&L during normal daily, weekly, monthly meetings.
- Manage progress to financial targets and business plans, and establish operational priorities
- Ensure subsidiary compliance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures
- Oversee customer relationships at the executive level, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and contractual commitments are met
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in business operations. Senior leadership experience in service-focused industries such as Telecom, Cable, or Logistics preferred
- European business leadership experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial acumen with deep expertise in P&L, balance sheet, and profitability drivers
- Proven ability to manage diverse teams across multiple geographies and cultures.
Additional Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills, with ability to engage, influence, and build trust at all levels internally and externally
- Strong executive presence; comfortable presenting to global C-level customers and internal leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments with competing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead through ambiguity
- Previous Expat experience is ideal
