- THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) is looking for a dedicated professional with a keen eye for detail to join our team as a Compliance Examiner. This is administrative and professional work in the review and evaluation of internal controls submitted by licensees from all verticals of gaming regulated by the PGCB. Join us as we work to ensure the integrity of gaming in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Compliance Examiner, you will be responsible for the review and evaluation of new or revised internal controls against regulations, rules, guidance and the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act) law applied to all verticals of gaming. Work involves communicating with assigned gaming licensees to resolve errors, discrepancies, and non-compliance with regulations, rules, guidance and the Act within submitted internal controls. You will interact with other PGCB employees to obtain input and information related to specific gaming operations or activities when evaluating internal controls.
Other duties to include but not limited to:- Interpreting and applying regulations, rules, guidance and the Act in the review of internal controls
- Making recommendations for approval, denial or revision of internal controls
- Maintaining comments in an internal control application
- Performing administrative duties such as file management
- Preparing reports and approval documents
Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
- Telework: Telework options available. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: The starting salary is non-negotiable. Pay rules apply to existing commonwealth employees.

- REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or
- An Associate's Degree and one year of experience involving public contact and reviewing for compliance with regulations and rules; or
- Three years of experience involving public contact and reviewing for compliance with regulations and rules and a high school diploma or its equivalency; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirement:- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualification (not required):
- Gaming industry experience
Legal Requirements:- Employment is contingent upon the completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening and the subsequent review and approval by the Board.
