The Department for Public Health (DPH), Division of Administration and Financial Management (AFM), is seeking a Systems Administrator for our Local Health Operations (LHO) branch. This position will research, provide support and problem solve on a daily basis. It will also interact with all 120 counties in the state of Kentucky and build relationships with those that work in the Local Health Departments (LHDs) in the state. This position will provide assistance with the help desk phones and inbox. You will serve as the AFM Division Internet Site Editor. This position will also work with our vendor to update charge files and create reports. You will also assist in Onsite Coding Compliance reviews and yearly user meetings.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: High School graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Two years of experience in IT systems administration, IT systems support, or IT systems analysis
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Additional education in computer science, IT, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional experience in IT systems administration, IT systems support, or IT systems analysis will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis OR a certification in an IT related field will substitute for the required education.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

- Serve as AFM Division Internet site editor.
- Answer help desk phone calls.
- Update charge files in system.
- Serve as back up to system security.
- Assist with Onsite Coding Compliance Reviews.
- Assist with Yearly User Meetings.
- Update DPH Administrative Reference (AR).
- Prepare reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good customer service skills.
- Experience in training.
- Proficient in Microsoft products, including Teams and Excel.
- Interpret statutes and regulations as it pertains to the Department and LHD.
